X-Micro TV-BAR USB TV Tuner Arrives

Another nifty gadget has just been unveiled from X-Micro in the "TV-BAR USB TV Tuner". Sized and shaped not all too different to your usual USB pen drive, this little wonder provides easy radio and digital HDTV tuning (and recording) capabilities by means of USB connectivity. USB 2.0 against FireWire

In the market for an external hard drive but can't make your mind up whether to go USB 2.0 or FireWire?
Well X-bit labs decided to find out for themslves just which one is the better and if you want to know then you better get over there.

We decided to figure out which interface of all available today is the most efficient for disk subsystems: the praised USB 2.0, the FireWire or the old buddy ATA/100. The experiments were carried out with Western Digital WD1200BB hard disk drive, and the results appeared really unexpected!

Wiebetech seems to be gaining momentum within the industry and seem to be shooting big, based on what we have seen in there white paper documentation and on there site they seem to have the combination down pat, Good performance, Competitively priced, and versatile. We have seen two of these proven to be true, Price and Versatility, but we need a little more proof before we can say it has the great performance we hope to see.
