GIGABYTE's G1 Sniper 5 board gets some love from EK's new waterblock

There are some enthusiast out there who says that custom watercooling peaked a few years ago before the invention of the all-in-one liquid cooling solution. Then there are enthusiast like myself who feel that the golden age of liquid cooling our PCs has not even began to arrive yet. With the recent inclusion of things like full motherboard waterblocks and rigid acrylic tubing, we have only begun to see the best of what the water cooling industry has to offer.

Today EK Waterblocks has released its latest complete coverage motherboard waterblock for GIGABYTE's G1 Sniper 5 motherboard. The new EK-FB GA G1 Sniper 5 waterblock directly cools the motherboard's Intel Z87 southbridge, PLX PEX 8474 PCIe Lane Splitter, and the power regulators such as the VRM and MOSFETs. The block is constructed out of nickel plated electrolytic copper and is capped by high-quality POM Acetal. The block is fed and evacuated by just two G1/4 fittings, and employs a high-flow internal design.

As a GIGABYTE G1 Sniper 5 owner and extreme water-cooling enthusiast, I can not wait to get my hands on one of these waterblocks. While I will miss the military themed styling of the motherboard's stock air/water blocks, I feel that this block makes it even more badass! The block is available now for $172.

Cooler Master launches the all new HAF Stacker series of PC chassis

Today Cooler Master announced the all new HAF Stacker series of PC chassis, and to kick things off the company released three new PC cases that are connectable and configurable. The HAF 915F and 915R are both mini-ITX cases that support extra long GPUs and even water cooling. The HAF 935 is a full-tower chassis that is stackable with the 915 cases and supports the latest extreme performance hardware.

TweakTown image news/3/3/33449_1_cooler_master_launches_the_all_new_haf_stacker_series_of_pc_chassis.jpg

The HAF Stacker series is anchored by the HAF 925 which is your typical full-tower HAF case from Cooler Master. The chassis features all the standard features we have come to expect from the HAF line, but what makes this case unique is its ability to be stacked on top of, and/or have other cases stacked on top of it. This is accomplished by Cooler Masters new patent pending rail system that is said to be inspired by the accessory rail found on many military rifles.

This is something I have waited years for and I feel that a modular system like this is something everyone else has been hoping for as well. TweakTown's own Chad Sebring published his review of the HAF Stacker 915F this morning and Cooler Master has just launched a pretty cool micro-site based around the HAF Stacker line.

This provides the perfect canvas to display an extreme gaming setup while being able to hide the wires in the second compartment which is hidden from view.

Lian Li has provided room for a 240mm radiator to be placed over the motherboard even with a push/pull fan setup while the right side of the case boast enough room to fit a 420mm radiator without any modifications. Those who like to cut metal will find even more room for large radiators on this side of the case. For those who need extra room, the entire set of three HDD cages in the right side compartment are removable to allow room for extensive setups.
