Elon Musk says he 'hasn't had sex in ages', says affair claims are BS

Musk tweeted that the story is "total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I've only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic". In a follow up tweet, Musk added "haven't even had sex in ages (sigh)".

In my article covering the claims that Elon slept with Nicole Shanahan, Sergey Brin's at-the-time wife, I opened the article with "the takedown of Elon Musk continues". So, that was a correct statement: the sexual assault allegations that Elon dubbed "Elongate", and now "BS" in the words of SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk himself, is a takedown. Daily stories of how bad Tesla, SpaceX, and other Musk-owned or operated companies... but the continued assault on Musk is giving me the same vibes as the mainstream media hate and BS stories about President Donald Trump between 2016-2020.

New report: China's largest chipmaker, SMIC, copied TSMC chip designs

But now, news is breaking that China's largest chipmaker -- Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) -- has copied chip designs for 7nm manufacturing technology from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The news is coming from Taiwanese press, stating that SMIC's 'new' 7nm process design has been ripped apart by TechInsights with some interesting... insights into SMIC's design process, or lack thereof, I guess.

TSMC is already making the most advanced silicon on the planet, with mass production of 3nm already underway inside of TSMC labs, the Taiwanese semiconductor Godzilla is claiming that SMIC is copying their 7nm designs.

Elon Musk reveals when Tesla could start shipping Cybertruck

Elon Musk has been teasing the release of the Cybertruck for quite some time now, with the Tesla CEO previously stating that the design for the vehicle is "locked" and that the production timeline has been moved to early 2023. Now, Musk spoke to Tesla investors on a call and said that he hopes that Tesla can begin delivering the Cybertruck to buyers sometime in the "middle of next year".

Notably, the Cybertruck was announced in 2019, and since then, Tesla has been forced into delaying its production until 2022, which was then pushed back to the current production date estimation of 2023. Russia fines Google for refusing to censor 'fake' Ukraine war news

Jak Connor | Jul 20, 2022 4:20 AM CDT

Russia has fined Google hundreds of millions of dollars for refusing to censor Ukraine war content on its platform.

Russia fines Google for refusing to censor 'fake' Ukraine war news

A Russian court has ruled that Google will be fined $377 million for failing to remove content about the Ukraine war that Russia considers to be "fake" or "prohibited content". This isn't the first time Russia has fined Google for the content on its platform, as the nation fined Google in December 2021 for what it claimed to be a "systematic failure to remove banned content." Notably, Facebook and Instagram were also fined approximately $27 million.

According to Russian media regulator Roskomnadzor's press release regarding the fine, the Russian court pointed to YouTube being the platform where the "fake" news is being spread and how Google failed to stop the spread of misinformation or restrict access to the "prohibited content". At the moment, Google is available in Russia, but judging by the nation's past decisions to ban platforms that don't agree with Russian principles (Facebook was banned in March), it may not be long before Google is also banned.

Twitter gets what it wants, Elon Musk loses his big delay attempt

Jak Connor | Jul 20, 2022 3:42 AM CDT

A court has ruled in favor of Twitter for expediting the trial date for the social media company's lawsuit against Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

Twitter gets what it wants, Elon Musk loses his big delay attempt

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk moved to terminate his merger agreement with Twitter, and in response, the world's second-largest social media company is taking Musk to court. Twitter filed a lawsuit in the Delaware Court of Chancery that claimed Musk must follow through with the merger agreement at the stated price of $54.20 a share, or $44 billion. Twitter's lawsuit also stated that the court should expedite the trial given its nature and how merger agreements being in limbo can impact the company negatively.

Musk fired back at Twitter with a filing that pushed for the court to reject Twitter's request to expedite the trial date, citing the need for a substantial amount of time to analyze and interpret the treasure trove of user data that Twitter provided Musk's team - to review the company's process for identifying bot/spam accounts. The filing requested that the trial get pushed back to on or after February 13, 2023. That request has now been denied by the Delaware Court of Chancery Judge Kathaleen McCormick.

New York City issues PSA for preparing for a nuclear attack

Adam Hunt | Jul 19, 2022 6:34 AM CDT

The New York City (NYC) Emergency Management Department has released a new public service announcement (PSA) regarding "nuclear preparedness."

New York City issues PSA for preparing for a nuclear attack

The Department notes the likelihood of a nuclear weapon being used to attack NYC or a nearby incident involving such a weapon is low. However, its citizens should be prepared in the event of one. Eric Adams, the mayor of NYC, commended the Office of Emergency Management for the PSA and called himself "a big believer in better safe than sorry." He also referred to NYC as "one of the top terrorist threats," and thus that New Yorkers should always be prepared.

The new PSA advises citizens to enter a building quickly and avoid windows, and they should shut all doors and windows and head for the middle of the building. Removing clothing and showering with soap or shampoo is also advised to clean off radioactive material as quickly as possible. Citizens are then advised to stay tuned to news sources, sign up for Notify NYC, and be alert for Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs).
