The amount of hours I poured into this game as a youngster was ridiculous, and with the Steam version hitting last month, the retail copy will reach store shelves later this month.
Publisher, Replay Games, said that the June release date for the retail version was "somewhat less certain". Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded was on Kickstarter, where it passed its $500,000 funding goal with the help of over 14,000 backers.
The unstoppable Minecraft has a new update available, which is known as "The Horse Update". The Horse Update pushes Minecraft up to version 1.6.1, which - you guessed it - includes horses in the game now.
Mojang have also provided donkeys and mules, which can be bred and spawned naturally. These animals do require taming before you can ride them, but once you do you can ride them around in the game world, adding chests to their saddles. You can also name your horses like other 'pets' and add all sorts of armor like iron and diamond.
The Horse Update also includes improvements, such as a conversion tool that lets you convert texture packs to resource packs, which will allow you to add sounds to different items. This update includes the usual performance and stability fixes, as well as improvements in riding mounts, respiration enhancements, extra tooltips, carpets in different colors which can be added on blocks, and like you can do stain wool you can now do stained clay.
Weeks upon weeks of bad publicity may have just taken their toll on one of Microsoft's top officers. This afternoon, reports are beginning to emerge that the man in charge of all things Xbox for Microsoft, Don Mattrick, is apparently leaving the company. AllThingsD is reporting that Mattrick will be headed to a top leadership role at Zynga, the once king of mobile gaming.
This move is quite sudden and unexpected as we have seen Mattrick push the Xbox One console harder than he ever did for the Xbox 360. Some industry insiders expect Mattrick's resignation to be the result of weeks of negative sentiment and massive backlash generated by the Xbox One's previous DRM policies.
During his time at Microsoft, Mattrick molded the Xbox 360 from being just a gaming console into an entire home entertainment system. He jockeyed for the integration of Netflix as well as dozens of other streaming services. Mattrick also headed up the development of the groundbreaking Kinect sensor, but also had to deal with massive overheating issues and inherent console flaws that caused irreversible damage.

Votes were included, where games were counted for their press reviews, awards, crowd-funding success and performance on other platforms. The eight games are:
- Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller
- Day One : Garry's Incident
- In Verbis Virtus
- Super Motherload
Just when you thought DLC couldn't get any worse, EA and Maxis have unveiled some new downloadable content for SimCity. It'll cost you $9, and I think at least two or three people in the world will buy it.
The new SimCity DLC includes "Airships", which add two items: a hot air balloon park and an airship mass transit option - all yours for $9. The video above will show you just what you get, so prepare your wallets!
It's no secret, actors and actresses from Hollywood like to keep a tight rein on their likeness, and rightfully so. It is after all how they make their living. Canadian actress Ellen Page has accused popular PlayStation 3 horror title, The Last of Us, of stealing her facial likeness.
During an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, Page told fans that she was very much aware of the similarities between her and the games character Ellie and that she was not so pleased about it. "I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a videogame called Beyond: Two Souls, so it was not appreciated," she wrote.
While I see the minute similarities, I personally feel that Ellie looks much more like Ashley Johnson, the actress who does Ellie's voice over for the game. In my opinion this is just a publicity stunt used for both Page's career as well as the upcoming game Beyond: Two Souls. TweakTown would like to offer Page a chance to tell her side of the story and we have reached out to her and are awaiting a response.
Ubisoft and subsidiary developer Nadeo have announced that TrackMania 2 Valley will be launching on July 4. TrackMania 2 Stadium launched just last week, which was a recreation of TrackMania Nations.
So we're going back-to-back with some TrackMania goodness here, and I'm sure that fans aren't complaining about that. TrackMania 2 Valley will be set in the great outdoors, featuring a 65-track solo campaign, as well as track creation and object import tools for those that want to create some insane courses.
TrackMania 2 Valley will be available from both Steam and ManiaPlanet for WIndows PC.
Blacklight: Retribution is headed to the PlayStation 4 as a free-to-play title, but it is doing things a little differently to how most mainstream titles are handled: it's giving the user all of the choice.
You can see in the video above, which is part of Sony's "Conversations with Creators" series, which has the developers explaining parts of the game. We get to find out about the weapon and character customization options, as well as the studio's goals with the port. The game was once a PC-exclusive, but has made a nice transition to Sony's next-gen console.
NVIDIA has announced that they have delayed the shipping of their upcoming handheld gaming console. Project Shield was originally slated to go on sale tomorrow, but NVIDIA has decided to push that date back to sometime in July due to a mechanical issue. The issue stems from a third-party component supplier who's part isn't quite up to NVIDIA's "exacting standards."
NVIDIA doesn't have a confirmed shipping date beyond sometime in July, so we'll let you know as soon as NVIDIA releases a firm ship date. NVIDIA has also extended apologies to those who preordered Shield and those who were looking forward to buying the console. NVIDIA believes that the console will be well worth the wait.
It's probably better for the company to wait and perfect the device than release a product that wouldn't garner the reviews and experience that they want.
Everyone's favorite gaming company has just introduced virtual Trading Cards. These new cards will be given out for playing Steam games, with half of the set being provided in each game. To collect the other half, you'll have to collect and trade with other gamers like yourself. These cards can then be turned into game badges and tradable Steam community items.
The idea isn't completely new. Other games have provided cards or collectibles instead of in-game achievements. These cards a bit more useful than some of the other implementations I've seen. For instance, a complete set of cards can be turned into a game badge. These game badges will also come with XP, helping you level up quicker and earn more rewards for leveling up.
It's a cool idea that I think will work extremely well with the Steam community. If you want to learn more about the new program, you can head over to the page Steam has set up.
