AMD HD 46xx series stealthily lets slip numbers

We last analysed reports on AMD's upcoming HD 4600 series, earlier this week.

Now, VR-Zone has shared information that give us an interesting perspective, as to whether AMD's challenge on the mid-range market will hit the spot.

Utilising 3D Mark Vantage, it is believed that the HD 4670 nets around P35xx, whilst the HD 4650, will score around P21xx. To put that in perspective, a DDR2 powered HD 3850, would attain P32xx and a GeForce 9500GT, around P19xx.

This would put the HD 4650 in GeForce 9500GT challenge mode, with the HD 4670 aiming higher - Corroborating earlier reports.

It is claimed, additionally, that the first of AMD's HD 4600 series family members are still on track, for a September 10th launch.
