We analysed reports surrounding Dell's Eee PC challenger, now known as the Dell Inspiron 910, last week.

Gizmodo, has shared some very interesting (internal) documentation pertaining to Dell's offering which, if rumours are to be believed, is set to become available in just a few days time - August 22nd to be precise.

A 1.6 GHz, Intel Atom fuelled CPU, will be brains behind the outfit with a compact 8.9" display, being the output for integrated Intel 945GMS UMA graphics.

Adopting SSD storage, up to a maximum of 16 GB, brings some up and coming technology into the reach of the Inspiron 910, whilst it is alleged that Dell will stage an offensive on the pricing front, with the entry-level model coming in at $299.

Weighing in at 2.20lbs/0.99kg, ASUS clearly has some stiff competition coming its way and, Dell's attempt to devalue the ASUS Eee Portfolio clearly, if nothing else, has the looks to succeed.
