ASUS promise to deliver X58 boards first

Good news for those of us having trouble keeping ourselves contained over the excitement of Nehalem. According to this brief report from the lads over at TechConnect, ASUS will be well prepared for the Nehalem (Core i7) platform a bit later this year with motherboards that the company says will be sitting in stores ready for purchase come launch day.

ASUS are apparently striving to make sure they are the first motherboard manufacturer to offer Intel X58 motherboards with an X58+NF 200 SLI model to arrive at a slightly later date (though still well before the end of the year).

The debut of the 45nm Core i7 is closing in and you can bet a lot of board manufacturers are rushing to get designs ready in order to be ready for the official launch this autumn. Top motherboard builder Asus for example, feels very confident as to its X58 line-up and it expects to be the first company to release both X58 and X58 + NF 200 SLI boards.
