Nehalem in action with HD 4850

The lucky lads at Toms Hardware in Taiwan have sourced a Bloomfield (Intel Nehalem) platform to play with in conjunction with a Gainward HD 4850 graphics card. Given what we know from early test runs of this platform, the 2.93GHz Nehalem setup should be more than enough to feed the 4850 the power it needs to show its full potential.

 

 

With this in mind, they decided to put the platform through its paces with several benchmark runs; these including 3DMark Vantage, PCMark05, 3DMark06, Crysis and more. The results are certainly very impressive.
