Kingston's lavish HyperX Promo Girl Contest event

Kingston announce winner of its HyperX Girl comp

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 On Wednesday here in Taipei we attended the Kingston HyperX Promo Girl contest which it has been running for some time now.

The massive memory company asked professional and regular designers to create a new HyperX Girl that would be used on its upcoming product packaging and marketing material. The professional walked away with $3500 USD and a bag of RAM and the amateur got $1000 USD and also walked away with a big bag of RAM of his choice and other goodies. Adam Potter from Australia created the "UPGRADE" girl (the one in silver color) which highly impressed judges.

In a rather interesting event, Kingston hired show girls to bring to life the digital renderings of the artist designs - extremely impressive indeed and so much detail!

Can we have another one of these events next year please Kingston? Great stuff!
