By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Jun 3, 2008 11:13 pm

COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2008 Aeneon, a subsidiary of memory maker Qimonda has announced a new breed of Xtune series DDR3 memory modules designed for overclocked rates whilst only requiring 1.5V of power. These Aeneon Xtune DDR3-1800 CL10 memory modules come in the form of a 2x1GB kit.

It doesn't end there though, also on display at Computex for memory hungry 64-bit users is a 2x4GB DDR2-800 kit as well as a DDR3-1600 CL9 kit in the form of 2x2GB modules.

The above new series of modules and many more are currently on display at the event. You can find the full press release here.

Taipei, Taiwan - June 3, 2008 - Qimonda AG's (NYSE: QI) Aeneon channel and retail product line led by the new Xtune™ series will take center stage at Computex 2008, June 3-7, at Taipei World Trade Center.

Delivering impressive - gamers would say 'awesome' - overclock rates while operating on normal 1.5V power, Aeneon's Xtune™ series was specifically designed to deliver maximum performance to gamers and enthusiasts. The Aeneon Xtune™ line has consistently delivered high memory speed and density at standard voltage without compromising on performance. Aeneon Xtune™ modules deliver a compelling solution for energy-efficient computing platforms with reduced heat dissipation.

The Aeneon Xtune™ DDR3-1800 CL10 memory module is tailored for gamers and overclockers who use high performance desktop platforms with Intel X38, X48, P45 and Nvidia chipsets. Modules come in 2x1GB Dual Channel Kits supporting XMP and EPP2.0 profiles for easy overclocking use and are aimed at PC enthusiasts who demand extreme performance as well as cruising stability. With speeds up to 1800 MHz at standard voltage, which is unique in the market, the DDR3 module promises to deliver up to twice the bandwidth of current mainstream DDR2 modules.
