WD intros massive 2 TB My Book

Western Digital has just introduced the My Book Studio Edition II into its extensive family of portable HDDs, and it's certainly one very serious piece of kit.

 

The My Book Studio Edition II offers a whopping 2 TB of storage space with the two 3.5" 1 TB GreenPower series HDDs which can either be striped in RAID 0 or set up for a RAID 1 (Mirrored) config. The unit can be connected by means of FireWire 400/800, eSATA and of course USB 2.0.

 

Western Digital offer the 2 TB monster at an RRP of $699AUD with a 5-year warranty. For full details, grab the official PR here folks.
