IOGEAR has easy USB networking device

Published: 20th May 2008 @ 1:37 AM

IOGEAR is known for producing a range of weird yet wonderful and useful tech products and this one is no exception.

The USB Net ShareStation is a small and simple yet elegant and highly useful device that allows you to easily add USB to your network. Its relevance is a little questionable as you could of course just plug a USB device into a computer connected to your network but that of course means that computer needs to be switched on which could waste power.

Just power this thing on, plug a CAT5 or CAT6 cable into it from your network and you have just added USB to your network. It enables an external hard drive, flash drive, memory card reader, USB webcam, USB speaker, or USB Multi-Function Printer (MFP) to be shared from anywhere in your home or office and that’s quite a nifty concept we think.

For more information head on over to the product website for more details.
