By: (more) | Posted: Feb 20, 2008 9:16 pm

Sapphire have just revived their TOXIC series of graphics cards with a new addition based on the HD 3870. Making itself worthy of entering the TOXIC lineup, this card features a Vapor-X single slot cooler which is Sapphire's implementation of Vapour Chamber Technology (VCT). Due to this significantly better than stock cooling solution, Sapphire overclock the card out of the box with the GPU at 800 MHz and the 512MB of GDDR4 at 1152 MHz.

Thanks to the single-slot VCT cooler this card would also make for an easy CrossfireX configuration should you want to venture that far down the track.

Sapphire explain more about how the VCT cooling system works on the card along with some more about the card's specs within the official PR here folks.
