Intel's Nehalem annihilates SuperPi

...or does it?

The folks at NordicHardware have spotted a pretty intense SuperPi 1M run over at Chinese website XFastest where a user claims to have used a Nehalem at just 2.66GHz to achieve what is shown in the accompanied screenshot; 8.328 seconds.

 

 

If there's no 'funny business' involved here then we're certainly in for a hell of a treat! However, as NordicHardware found out, If you feed the data into the validator you get an incorrect checksum and the CPU-Z is horribly out of date.
