OCZ Cryo-Z around the corner

By: (more) | Posted: Feb 2, 2008 12:17 am

Here's the latest update for those of you holding out for OCZ's upcoming phase change cooler known as the Cryo-Z. According to the lads at NordicHardware OCZ are expecting the first shipment sometime next week; an announcement is said to be made at the XtremeSystem forum once the units become available.

It's not all rosey, though. NordicHardware go on to say :-

OCZ says that each unit is handtested, but also that they will be sold directly. Unfortuantely all units are 110V and will be exclusive to USA, possibly also Canada. Before making any kind of decision you should await the announcement that will be made at Xtremesystems.

I sincerely hope this isn't true as I'm sure many of us down under and in other parts of the world have been eagerly awaiting these to hit local shelves in volume. It seems very strange that OCZ would limit the success of what could potentially be a very high selling product worldwide.

We'll know more soon.
