SuperPi 1M under 8 seconds
Another excellent achievement has just been made in the SuperPi world with a german overclocker coming forward with evidence that he's managed to bring a 1M Pi run down to less than 8 seconds using a new wolfdale based Core 2 Duo E8500 processor.

Not only did he manage an insanely high FSB of 609MHz on his trusty modified ASUS P5K motherboard, but the processor was pushed to a speed not too far off the 6GHz mark.
You can find out more info about his achievement over at Nordic Hardware.
