We've all seen the card in the flesh a few times now (including the recent sighting at CES), but what many of us are itchen' to know is the performance of AMD's upcoming HD 3870 X2 dual-GPU graphics card.
Thanks to asian website ITOCP, they've managed to get a hold of one of these monsters where we don't just get to see more eye-candy, but more importantly we get a taste of it in action. The user has chucked it into a system whereby he does a complete 3DMark06 run and pushes out a score of 9573 points.
"What the heck?" I hear ya'all say; don't worry, it is indeed mighty impressive when you come to realise he did the run at a resolution of 2560x1600! Not to mention it appears the CPU is just a run of the mill stock clocked Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz.
It would seem since the screenshots went up they've been forced to remove them but thankfully both Nordic Hardware and OCWorkbench got a hold of 'em before they dissapeared.
