HighPoint unveil RocketRAID 3120 PCIe x1

For those of you seeking a cost-effective high performing 2-channel RAID controller card for your desktop/server machine, HighPoint have just announced the RocketRAID 3120; a PCI Express x1 low-profile card which features a hardware RAID IOP storage engine operating at 500MHz along with 128MB of DDRII cache memory.

The two ports are good for speeds of up to 3 Gb/sec and can work together in RAID 0, 1 and JBOD configurations. HighPoint have stamped the card with an MSRP of $169.

There is also native support in Linux with a Linux GPL Open Source Licensed Driver.
