Sparkle intro passive 1GB 8800GT

By: (more) | Posted: Dec 22, 2007 11:10 pm

There's been a number of non-reference 8800GT's popping up since the card's debut a short while back, but this new offering from Sparkle would be quite possibly the cream of the crop, especially for HTPC users seeking stacks of power without the noise.

This new card from Sparkle is quite the gem. Though it only runs with stock clockspeeds out of the box, an additional 512MB of GDDR3 has been added to the card, taking it to 1GB; not only this but the card is passively cooled thanks to the residing "Cool-pipe 3" cooling solution. The cooler is also particularly good in the sense that it only uses a single slot, so once again this is a big thumbs up for HTPC users.

Pricing hasn't been revealed just yet, but you can get more details about the card within Sparkle's official announcement here folks.

Taipei, Taiwan (Tech Messenger) -- SPARKLE Computer Co., Ltd., the professional VGA card manufacturer and supplier, today announced the SPARKLE GeForce 8800 GT 1GB Cool-pipe 3 Graphics Card, the World's first graphic cards based on NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT GPU with 1GB video memory and passive cooling solution. The SPARKLE GeForce 8800 GT 1GB Cool-pipe 3 Graphics Card will bring Ultra HD gaming experience to high-end gamers.
