EVGA is early with their 8800GT 256MB

By: (more) | Video Cards News | Posted: Dec 10, 2007 5:26 am

EVGA to the best of our knowledge is first out with their 256MB GDDR3 8800GT graphics card.

Clock speeds of the 256-P3-N791-AR is 650MHz core clock, 1800MHz DDR memory clock and 1620MHz shader clock. EVGA is claiming to be the price and performance leader now with an even better price tag.

Newegg is listing it as out of stock with a price tag of around $215 USD (or roughly $250 AUD). Most other brand 8800GT 512MB cards are selling for around $270 - $310 USD on Newegg, so it's a fair saving especially if you buy two of them and put them in SLI.

Introducing the EVGA 8800GT with 256MB of DDR3; the ultimate combination of power, performance, and especially price. With blazing fast 256MB of DDR3 memory clocked at 1.8GHz, you get the most cost-effective card on the planet. EVGA 8800 GT with 1.8GHz DDR3, don't settle for any less.

You can find more details over at this EVGA product website.
