OQO announces model e2 with HSDPA

By: (more) | Posted: Dec 4, 2007 5:30 am

During a recent press conference in London, OQO announced their brand new model e2 UMPC with one important change - the inclusion of HSDPA support!

Expansys are already selling the revamped model with mobile Internet access via your SIM for £1,286.29 (including tax). It is on pre-order, so you may have to wait a little for them to ship.

The regular model e2 without HSDPA goes for £1,172.43 also including tax, so you are paying quite a price premium for the additional feature but for business travelers on the move who are always required to be connected to the Internet, it may well be worth it for places where wireless internet is not readily available.

Expansys has some more detailed info on the device here.
