MSI unveils their first 790FX board

Shortly after seeing the likes of ASUS and GIGABYTE jumping the gun on motherboards based around AMD's new Phenom-ready AM2+ chipsets, MSI have just jumped on the bandwagon and dished up a press release detailing a variant of their own, the K9A2 Platinum.

 

Not unlike the other 790FX boards, the K9A2 Platinum is quad-core and CrossFireX ready, and uses the new HyperTransport 3.0 bus. MSI have also added their unique Dual CoreCell chip for easy software controlled monitoring and adjustments on the fly. MSI's "Circu-Pipe" heat-pipe cooling system has also been implemented for superior heat dissipation across the board.
