WD now shifting RE2 750s down under

For those of us in the land of Oz, Western Digital have announced today that they are now shipping their new RE2 (RAID Edition) 750GB hard drives through aussie retail channels.

 

The RE2 750GB has a 3.0Gb/sec transfer rate with NCQ and 16 MB cache. As the name implies, these drives are designed to work brilliantly in a RAID configuration. These will carry an RRP of $429 AUD.

(NYSE: WDC) today announced it will be shipping its WD RE2 (RAID Edition) 750 GB hard drive this month. With 3.0 Gb/s data transfer rate, WD RE2 hard drives feature Native Command Queuing (NCQ) and 16 MB cache for high system performance.
