Foxconn unleashes MARS P35 board

Foxconn have just lifted the curtain on their first ever motherboard aimed soley at the enthusiast and overclocking crowds.

 

As the first member to their new "Quantum Force" product lineup, the new MARS motherboard is based around Intel's tried and trusted P35 Express chipset, only it carries quite a few extra bells and whistles including the new "Gladiator BIOS" which provides options galore to make sure you're successful with your overclock.

 

Foxconn also mention in the press release that this board is quite capable of reaching an FSB of 575MHz with the possibility of further headroom. The cooling solution used on the northbridge/southbridge and mosfet area certainly speaks for itself when just looking at the pictures.

 

Availability is said to be sometime next month, however pricing hasn't yet been confirmed.

Beijing, China, August 30th 2007 - FOXCONN today officially announced the launch of its first true overclocking motherboard; MARS will be the first in a new product line called Quantum Force, which will be dedicated to overclocking and gaming enthusiasts.

 

Based on the Intel® P35 chipset, MARS has been specially tuned for overclocking performance, and has undergone extensive testing and trials by some of the world's leading overclockers before release to retail customers in September.
