NVIDIA's G92 Taped Out

Word has it that NVIDIA's next-gen high-end GeForce 9800 GPU has just been taped out, this also known to some as the "G92".

 

The Inq report that this isn't the only chip to have been taped out this week, but they're still seeking out more details.

 


GRAPHICS FIRM Nvidia has taped out chips which it will release later this year in a fresh assault to dominate the market.

 

This includes a new king of the hill as well, the almighty G92 - also known as the GeForce "9800". Nvidia is paying quite a lot of attention to thermals and performance of the chip in complex shaders.
