Pioneer Unveil 5X Blu-Ray Combo Drive

For around 300 bucks

| HT & Movies News | Posted: Jul 26, 2007 12:20 am

The lads over at Techpowerup have discovered that Pioneer have just released details about their new 5X Blu-Ray combo drive for the desktop PC market.

The "BDC-S02" with it's 5X read speed comes a close second place to the recently announced 6X Blu-Ray drive from LG, However this drive from Pioneer also sports 4MB of cache which safeguards it from any disc burning errors.

The supposed pricing will be somewhere around the vicinity of $300 RRP.

More info can be sourced at Pioneer's website.
