GeIL joins high end DDR3 memory makers

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Jul 19, 2007 10:33 am

GeIL has launched a new line of DDR3 memory products and
GeIL is going straight for the low latency market. Sometimes it's just better to wait a little bit before you bring out new products and it seems like GeIL took its time so it could come out with some high performance modules straight away.

We're looking at 1,066 and 1,333MHz modules from the word go and GeIL will offer the 1,066MHz modules with memory timings of 6-6-6 and 7-7-7, there will of course be a price difference here between the modules.

The 1,333MHz modules will be available with memory timings of 7-7-7, 8-8-8 and 9-9-9. These modules will operate at between 1.65 and 1.7V compared to 1.5V of the 1,066MHz modules. All of the new models will feature brushed Titanium look Aluminium heat spreaders and comes with a lifetime warranty.

GeIL didn't announce any pricing information for the modules and 1GB single modules and 2GB kits will be available first with 2GB modules and 4GB kits to follow.
