Transcend Announces 4GB miniSDHC
An announcement from Transcend today lets us know of a new miniSDHC card on offer with a high capacity of 4GB. As a "Class 4" card, it is said to offer an excellent balance of price vs performance, though no actual figures have been mentioned in the press release.
The card comes with a convenient adapter card allowing it to be used in regular SD card slots, and it also supports FAT32 file formats.
Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a leading company in flash memory cards, announced its new 4GB miniSDHC™ Class 4 card. The miniSDHC card is the mini size of the SDHC™ card, which supports FAT32 file formats. With the enclosed adapter, Transcend's 4GB Class 4 miniSDHC card can be used as a standard SDHC card to fulfill the high capacity demand of the new devices compatible with SD 2.0. The desire for mobile entertainment can now be easily satisfied with a 4GB card that holds an estimated 2,000 high-resolution pictures, 1,000 digital music files, or 8 hours of video clips.
