Asus will be showing off its new internet radio at Computex next week. The rather aptly named AIR (Asus Internet Radio) internet radio has a very cool retro design and has both wired and wireless network interfaces. It connects either via 802.11b/g or 10/100Mbit Ethernet and has a built in 5W speaker. It's also got a 128x64 pixel blue and white FSTN display that displays various station information. You can also plug in a pair of headphones thanks to a 3.5mm jack and external speakers can be added via RCA connectors. You can also use the AIR with other audio sources thanks to a 3.5mm line in.
The only possible downside would be that the AIR only supports MP3 and WMA files with a bit rate between 32 and 320Kbps. Asus claims that the AIR can connect to over 10,000 radio stations and it can store 250 favourites. It has a one button setup feature and a built in alarm clock that allows you to be woken up by your favourite radio station. We'll bring you more info about it when we have it and hopefully we'll get hold of a review unit at some stage soon.
