| Video Cards News | Posted: Apr 27, 2007 1:50 am

NVIDIA have just unveiled a new addition to their Quadro Plex VCS (Visual Computing System) lineup, this being a dedicated enclosure which houses TWO Quadro FX 5600 graphics cards (each with 1.5GB of memory and a 4.3% higher peak texel fill rate than that of the GeForce 8800 GTX).

If you dont have an issue with forking out $17,495 for the ultimate in graphics power, then this is the bees knees.

The Inquirer also talk about the latest Quadro VCS here (in relation to AMD's GPGPU plans).

SANTA CLARA, CA-APRIL 24, 2007-NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced a new version of the NVIDIA Quadro Plex visual computing system (VCS), which incorporates the unified architecture and GPU computing capability of NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 GPUs. This new Quadro Plex VCS pushes visual computing to new extremes, boosting workstation and cluster performance for a wide range of high-performance, graphics-intensive styling and design, oil and gas, and scientific applications.
