Adaptec Launches Unified Serial RAID Controllers for PCIe Interface

Finally, Adaptec are the first to embrace PCIe connectivity with a new lineup of unified Serial RAID controllers, these comprising 4 and 8 port low-profile models as well as the industry's only 12 and 16-port designs.

The new family of Adaptec Unified Serial controllers enable enterprises to significantly boost the performance, scalability and reliability of their SATA disk drive-based solutions, coupled with the ability to also connect to high-performance SAS drives or both types of drives in the same system. In addition, by leveraging the industry's most comprehensive compatibility test lab, Adaptec has ensured that its Unified Serial controllers are compatible and fully supported by over 270 third-party systems and devices.
