Server Down Time

By: (more) | Computer Systems News | Posted: Feb 9, 2007 12:13 am

Hello folks,

Recently we had some down time here at TweakTown which had to do with our database server. There were too many errors being produced by the MySQL server that the other server box blocked it and hence the site wasn't working.

We are not entirely sure why it happened but it probably had something to do with being on the front page of Digg two days in a row and a bunch of other big websites.

Everything is back to normal now and we should be setup in the future to fix this problem much quicker in the future! Because we were down for roughly 10 hours, we'll be back bigger than ever tomorrow with at least a couple new articles for you to look at.

Cheers!
