The lads over at CDRInfo have discovered that LiteOn have just recently introduced a new DVD Writer dubbed the "LH-20A1P". The one thing that makes this drive stand out amongst the crowd is its 20X writing speed (providing the media can handle it!), which would make it the fastest DVD writer in the world to date.

LiteOn announced today the release of the the fastest DVD Writer in the world: The 20X Super AllWrite LH-20A1P takes around 5 minutes to backup 4.7 GB data on a single layer 16X DVD+R or DVD-R media.

LiteOn claims that the new LH-20A1P drive is able to write at the 20x speed in selected DVD +R/-R media. The Taiwanese company pushes its hardware to the limits, offering the 20x recording speed as an extra feature in order to attract DVD recording enthusiasts.
