Transcend Releases its 1GB microSD Memory Card

| RAM News | Posted: Nov 3, 2006 1:52 am

Transcend have just extended their microSD card lineup with a 1GB model, perfect for stacks of space in microSD equipped mobile devices and smart phones.

Transcend Information Inc., a world leader in flash memory devices, has released its 1GB microSD™ Memory Card. Transcend's microSD card has fast data transfer speeds of up to 10MB/sec, and features only half the size of a mobile phone SIM card, which makes it the smallest memory card in the world. A greater number of advanced mobile devices and smart phones are now available on the market. This new breed of Hi-Tech handheld device typically has a built-in high-resolution digital camera and a large number of multimedia applications; both of these features alone have catapulted the need for higher performance and bigger capacity flash memory cards. Transcend's microSD card is now available in 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities.
