ATI's X1950 Pro to cost just $199!

If you're hunting for a well priced mid to high-end graphics card at the moment, you might be wise to hold out a tad longer as the Inquirer have found out that ATI's upcoming RV570 based "X1950 Pro" will be quite a bit cheaper than what was to be expected; try $199 for a card with 256bit memory interface, 256 or 512MBs of memory clocked at 1100MHz, and a core running at 600 to 650MHz.

 


WE LEARNED that the upcoming X1950 PRO based on RV570 chip is going to be cheaper than expected. This card is expected in October and will end up with a juicy price of $199. Nvidia will price its Geforce 7900GS at the same price but Nvidia wants to fight RV560 with this card.

 

RV570 is a 256 bit memory interface card with 256 or 512MB memory working at 1100 MHz and engine that is suppose to run at a 600MHz or 650MHz core.
