DDR - don't Do Rambus!

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Aug 14, 2001 10:08 pm

Roughly a few hours ago the NDA for the VIA P4X266 chipset (DDR for the Intel Pentium 4 platform) expired, for possibly one of the most controversial chipsets ever released, at least from a legal prospective.

The P4X266 is set to make the Intel Pentium 4 platform a more cost effective alternative to the Intel 850. Already a fair few sites have released their reviews, they include:

- AnandTech
- HardOCP
- VIA Hardware
- Extreme Tech

I'm know there will be more sites later in the day who release their reviews, I'll update this post as it happens.
