By: (more) | Posted: Aug 6, 2006 11:28 pm

HKEPC have acquired some fresh details on ATIs modified lineup of entry level graphics cards, this making for several noteworthy changes to the existing X1300 family. Besides the 80nm process improvement, there are also two new members from X1300 family, Radeon X1300XT and Radeon X1300CE.

ATi Radeon X1300XT is the 80nm version of Radeon X1600Pro, codenamed RV535. It has 4 Pixel Shader pinelines and 12 Pixel Shader Processor, clocked at 450MHz and supports 128Bit memory. It's designed for against nVidia Geforce 7300GT. Actually, the market didn't want to rename Radeon X1600Pro to Radeon X1300XT. It's confusing and may affect its sales. The price of it will be $89.

ATi Radeon X1300CE is a value solution to meet Windows Vista's requirement for Aero 3D GUI, where Windows Vista is available in 2007 Q1. Codename RV505CE, it's designed for Windows Vista and already awarded Vista Premium logo. It's based on RV516, owning 4 Pixel Shader pinelines and 4 Pixel Shader Processors, and clocked at 350MHz. But it supports 64Bit memory controller and 1 DVI output only. RV505CE is not compatible to RV516 and hence manufacturers need to redesign a PCB for the new chip. ATi Radeon X1300CE is available in October and in $49.
