As expected, ATI arnt letting NVIDIA soak up all the attention at Computex, they have a few goodies of their own to show off at the moment. Two announcements from them emerged earlier today, the first of which introduces their new TheaterT 650 Pro video processor chip which is quite an advancement over the previous 550 series model.

You can learn more about it within the official announcement, and also over at ATI's product page.

MARKHAM, ONTARIO, Jun 6, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX News Network) -- ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY)(NASDAQ:ATYT) announced the Theater™ 650 Pro video processor chip for superb analog and digital TV reception for PC users around the world. The new chip offers full hardware support for Personal Video Recording (PVR) backed by unrivaled Avivo™ image quality. Theater 650 Pro is supported by ATI's new Catalyst Media Center™ software which combines easy-to-use PVR capabilities with the ability to handle any signal, any time in any advanced format, from H.264 to DivX.
