Microsoft made a big splash with its Surface Studio announcement late October, and the buzz has continued all the way to Black Friday. If you were hoping for a killer Black Friday deal on a not-yet-released product... think again. While Microsoft Surface Studio pre-order deals do exist, they aren't exactly going to blow you away.
Currently Microsoft is offering all pre-order purchases of the Surface Studio with a free Surface Dial - a $99 dollar value accessory that made many waves during Microsoft's popular Surface Studio commercial (10 million views on a freaking commercial). This deal started up on October 26 and will end next week Thursday on December 1, 2016. If you're interested in the Surface Studio, this looks to be as good as it'll get in the near future.
- Microsoft Surface Studio Core i5, GeForce GTX 965M, 8GB, 1TB HDD + Free Surface Dial - $2,999 (list $2,999)
- Microsoft Surface Studio Core i7, GeForce GTX 965M, 16GB, 1TB HDD + Free Surface Dial - $3,499 (list $3,499)
- Microsoft Surface Studio Core i7, GeForce GTX 980M, 32GB, 2TB HDD + Free Surface Dial - $4,199 (list $4,199)
Currently there are three configurations at various pricing, with the "cheapest" Surface Studio starting at $3,000 and the price scaling all the way up to $4,200 for the "high-end" model. The high-end model sports a Core i7, 32GB of RAM, and of course, the GeForce GTX 980M with 4GB GDDR5 memory. The cheaper versions both come with a GeForce GTX 965 instead.
While we doubt supplies will "run out" as the terms stated on the Surface Dial pre-order bonus (you can buy it separately for $99.99) - if Microsoft Store somehow goes out of stock in the coming days, the one other official retail partner is Best Buy, and it looks like they're also offering a free Surface Dial as part of the package.
As a side note, Best Buy is also including a "free" copy of Titanium Internet Security six-month subscription -- I think we can safely say you're better off skipping this software.
