It was just a matter of time before we saw yet another world record achievement using FutureMark's latest hardware crushing benchmarker "3DMark06". A K|ngp|n of the XtremeSystems forums has managed to pull a whopping score of 12104 using dual 512MB 7800GTX cards and an Athlon FX-60 processor. Sensational stuff!
Info sourced via NordicHardware.
K|ngp|n is one of the hottest overclockers at the moment and it is apparently not just our own overclocking gurus Kinc and Crotale that are hunting world records. K|ngp|n has namely set a 3DMark06 world record and at the same time moved past 12000. The new record; 12104 was set with a GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB SLI configuration together with AMD's Athlon 64 FX-60 CPU. Also the 3DMark05 world record was improved to 19214 by the same man. As a sidenote it might be interesting to know that Kinc has reached 19200 with his X1900 Crossfire setup, but was unable to save his result.
