PowerColor Launches X1300 HyperMemory 2 with up to 512MB

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Feb 22, 2006 3:13 am

Sourced via the DailyTech, PowerColor are bringing on some more ATI X1300 HyperMemory2 based graphics cards which are overclocked out of the box. The stock GPU speed for X1300 is 450MHz but PowerColor have boosted theirs by 25% (600MHz) and also make mention of a 512MB overclocked variant to surface in the near future.

Today PowerColor has announced the release of its latest ATI-based X1300 PCI Express graphics adapter. The company says that with its new HyperMemory 2 model, its X1300 sets itself apart from the competition by shipping with overclocked GPUs guaranteed to work from the factory.

PowerColor says that while other X1300 ship with the GPU operating at 450MHz, its X1300 HyperMemory 2 ships at 600MHz -- a significant 25% increase in frequency. In its base configuration, PowerColor is starting out the new cards with 128MB of memory but says that cards sporting up to 512MB of memory are on the way which will also be overclocked from the factory.
