EPoX launches EP-9GF6100-M IGP mainboard

Based on NVIDIA's recently launched GeForce 6100 IGP motherboard chipset for the AMD platform, EPOX have just introduced their EP-9GF6100-M variant. The more of these that pop up, the merrier. They're a great value combo board and offer good baseline 3D performance for those who simply dont need anything more.

For the full scoop incl. key specifications etc. - Check out EPOX's official PR.

EPoX has launched EP-9GF6100-M mainboard which is using nVidia’s new GeForce 6100 chipset, packed in micro ATX form factor for the AMD socket 939 CPU. Supporting the latest AMD Athlon X2 dual core CPU and integrating nVidia’s GeForce 6 class texture engine, this mainboard/GPU hybrid is gonna rock’n’roll.

A chipset with integrated graphics engine is normally called the IGP chipset and IGP equals to low end graphic processor in most people’s mind. With its Texture Engine and hardware DirectX9.0 support, the GeForce 6100 proves itself as no ordinary IGP chipset. Sharing the same class as nVidia’s GeForce 6 VGA cards, the GeForce 6100 essentially equals putting a VGA card onto the mainboard for astounding graphic processing power. This 90nm beast earns its right as the world first DirectX 9.0 supported chipset with Shadow Model 3.0, 2 Pixel Shader and 1 Vertex Shader built in to satisfy all users. Harnessing the power of this engine, the EPOX EP-9GF6100-M will easily meet the graphics hungry needs of the looming Microsoft Windows Vista.
