NVIDIA Unleashes 512MB 7800GTX !

As though NVIDIA's previous 256MB flavoured 7800GTX card hasn't been enough to satisfy the most fussy and performance hungry fanatics out there, along comes an even more powerful offering with not only double the amount of RAM onboard, but also sporting faster clock rates to boot.

NVIDIA's official announcement here, with mention also made of a PC enthusiast in Singapore having already established a new 3DMark05 world record with the use of one of of these cards.

 

The GeForce 7800 GTX 512 GPU is so fast, one enthusiast gamer has used it to establish a new world record on a single GPU running 3DMark05, a benchmarking program used to measure a computer's performance level. Shamino, a PC enthusiast in Singapore, recently shattered the former world record by over 2,500 points by posting a 3Dmark05 score of 13396 in a system with a single GeForce 7800 GTX 512i.

 

In addition the new GeForce 7800 GTX 512 GPU delivers amazing performance on some of the most anticipated games of the holiday season, with a measured performance increase of 33% over the previous award-winning GeForce 7800 GTXii.
