NVIDIA Geforce 7800 GS Revealed / G73 Spotted

The crew over at NGOHQ have snagged some interesting info from NVIDIA's latest 81.85 beta drivers. They first discover what looks to be a new member to the 7 series on the way, which given its title "7800 GS" would logically have it as a slower and cheaper option to the 7800 GT. Also found embedded in the new drivers is added support for the "G73 inside ForceWare Control Panel", G73 being a new GPU architecture for laptops. Details on NGOHQ's front page folks.

 

We learn that NVIDIA's upcoming product will be named "7800 GS". We believe it would a bit slower then the Geforce 7800GT. We've also discovered that NV48 is still alive and coming soon.

 

It seems that NVIDIA is working on a new GPU architecture for laptops. We discovered that they already added support for the G73 inside ForceWare Control Panel. We believe it would be a mid-range GPU.
