- Get Ready for WinFast C51 Motherboards

NVIDIA's C51 series motherboard chipset has just been launched, which is the first motherboard chipset from the NV guns to include an integrated graphics solution since the nForce2 days. Implemented is a GeForce 6 series GPU which offers similar performance to a standalone GeForce 6200 series card. Foxconn/WinFast are the first NV motherboard partners to have announced four new boards on offer which make use of the C51 chipset. For all the details on each incl. specs, check out their official announcement folks.

Sep 20th,2005, ShenZeng, China> Building on the worldwide momentum of today's nVIDIA announcement of the GeForce 6 GPU-based 6150 core logic (chipset), Foxconn introduce 4 new motherboards based on C51 series chipset: WinFast ® 6150K8MA-8EKRS, 6150K8MA-8KRS, 6100K8MA-RS and 6100K8MB-RS. The new C51 motherboards provide the highest quality, highest performance integrated graphics solution available in the market today for AMD Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core, and Athlon 64 FX processor-based systems. For the price of a motherboard, users get the same level of performance of integrated graphic solution as 6200TC.

- BIOSTAR TForce 6100-939 (C51) Motherboard

Another C51 based motherboard comes to be, this one from partner "BIOSTAR" with their TForce 6100-939 offering. Aside the official announcement, you can also grab this 1MB zip file which includes more shots of the board and a details/specs sheet in PDF format.

Sep-2005, Taipei, Taiwan, Biostar Microtech Int’l Corp. a leading supplier of computer products and one the well-know AMD platform solution provider, today announced its new T-series in NVIDIA® new GeForce6100 chipset family motherboards –TForce 6100-939, the new T-series motherboard from BIOSTAR is set to PC gamers and enthusiasts with its unrivalled feature set and capabilities. The Biostar TForce 6100-939motherboard not only integrates powerful graphics engine of GeForce6100 GPU, but also offers advanced storage solution by NVIDIA® nForce 410.

Nice timing, just as this post was about to go up the Hexus lads had sent word out of their fresh article, taking a look at the new C51 chipset offering in fine detail.

The TV encoder on the 6150 supports component, S-Video and compostive out, as well as a TMDS for DVI support. DVI on the mainboard backplane will be cool to see. Both chips are also able to be passively cooled, bringing us on nicely to the announcement that these two parts and NVIDIA's first graphics products created on a 90nm process. Manufactured by TSMC, the 90nm process allows NVIDIA to back the transistors needed for the 6100 and 6150 into a chip package small enough and frugal enough to sit on the mainboard and be passively cooled even at top clocks.
