Mushkin have decided to hold a contest for the purpose of finding a suitable name for their new and improved memory heatsink design (soon to be implemented on the full range of Mushkin memory products). There's no boundaries on who can enter this contest, in which you can be in with a chance to score yourself any Mushkin 1GB memory combination.
All you have to do is e-mail contest@mushkin.com between the 19th and 26th of this month with your opinion on what their latest heatsink design should be named, and if Mushkin approve of your naming scheme the most? it's free memory time for yoooou.
I would like to get your help to promote our New Heatsink. We are going to run a contest on our website to get endusers, customers, friends, reviewers to help give a name to our Heatsink. We have started shipping them with our REDLINE memory products. But starting next week, we will start shipping all our memory with the new design.
Please ask your readers, customers, friends and families to enter by submitting their entries to contest@mushkin.com. The contest will start Friday, August 19, 2005 and end Friday, August 26, 2005. The winner will be given, his or her choice of 1gig worth of memory.. ANY 1gig combination... 2x512mb or 1 signle 1gig module.

- Alienware Performance Challenge Scores Big at QuakeCon 2005
Elite PC Builders "AlienWare" have just issued out a press release in relation to their attendance at this year's HUGE 10th annual QuakeCon gaming tournament. The PR detail's results of their highly successful "Performance Challenge" contest in which hundreds of gamer's PCs were pitted up against one another and benchmarked to see who's system was producing the biggest numbers. The winners each received a nice expensive full Alienware system within their respective catagories.
MIAMI, FL - August 18, 2005 - Alienware awarded Area-51 ALX and Aurora ALX systems, valued at over $6,000 each, to the two gamers with the highest-performing systems during the popular Alienware Performance Challenge at QuakeCon 2005. With AX systems and other top Alienware prizes at stake, the Alienware Performance Challenge drew hundreds of gamers to have their systems benchmarked against the systems of other QuakeCon attendees.
Alienware, the only system manufacturer to sponsor QuakeCon 2005, separated competitors taking part in the Alienware Performance Challenge into three categories: single-GPU desktop, dual-GPU desktop, and notebook. In both desktop categories, AMD-based systems achieved the winning benchmark scores.
