- KINGMAX Launches New Packaging DDR2 Memory Series

Making the headlines today is memory maker "KingMax" with their newly refined Mars and Venus series of DDR-2 memory modules, respectively for desktop and notebook platforms. For all the details, grab the official PR.

KINGMAX,Taipei July 25,2005 –With Intel’s promotion of the 945/955 platform among all the major motherboard manufacturers, DDR2 memory is fast becoming mainstream in desktop computers. Most major Taiwan notebook manufacturers have already upgraded their primary products to the Sonoma architecture for DDR2 support, and shipments of all DDR2 memory formats are rapidly increasing.

Ushering in this new DDR2 memory era, KINGMAX has introduced a special new packaging for its entire line of DDR2 memory products. First, the Mars series (DDR2 Long-DIMM) for desktop systems, with its distinctive burgundy plastic packaging, has been reduced in size to provide a more refined, high-quality appearance and greater retail display convenience. The new packaging for the Venus series (DDR2 SO-DIMM) allows this line of memory products to live up to its namesake with eye-catching, exquisitely designed detail.
