- Planes, Trains and ... Laptops?
Just recently a survey was conducted towards adult laptop users (commissioned by Intel) which was for the purpose of finding out just how dependant we are when "on the go" with regard to needing PC access, particularly in the way of e-mail etc. whilst on vacation and what not. Survey statistics reveal how many people/families carry laptops around with them when they turn their back on home sweet home for any length of time.
The information gathered is certainly quite interesting, but hardly surprising when you look at how relied upon e-mail and general internet access has become in recent years.

A recent survey of U.S. adult computer users, commissioned by Intel Corporation® and conducted by Harris Interactive®, reveals that 34 per cent of respondents or their families have taken a laptop PC with them on vacation1 and half (51 per cent) of all respondents are likely to take a laptop PC on a future vacation2. Ahead of checking and sending work-related email (43 per cent), the three most popular uses of a laptop PC for those who say they have taken one on vacation were checking personal e-mail (72 per cent); enjoying entertainment such as movies, music and games (56 per cent); and gathering trip information online (45 per cent).
