ASUS have issued out a press release today highlighting all their latest products which were showcased at Computex in Taipei last week. The products cover four main catagories; Easy Computing, Efficient Networking, Mobile Convenience and Stylish Ergonomics. You can get the full scoop within their official PR folks.

Sydney, Australia; June 8, 2005 – ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), today kicked off the first day of Computex Taipei 2005 with innovative solutions in four main categories: Easy Computing, Efficient Networking, Mobile Convenience and Stylish Ergonomics. This year, ASUS, a leading provider of 3C (computer, communications and consumer electronics) solutions, once again wowed the opening-day crowd with its latest offerings.

Industrie Forum (iF), internationally renowned as one of the world’s leading design institutions, hands out the prestigious iF Design Awards every year to products that achieved the highest standard in industrial design. The top honor of the annual competition is the Gold Award, also known as the “Design Oscar”, and the winners over the years are usually design heavyweights such as Apple Computers and Audi.

On March 10, 2005, the ASUS W1 Series notebook took home the iF Gold Award. It is the first time in iF’s 50-year history that a Chinese company won this distinguished honor. In addition, ASUS also received four honorable mentions for the V6 notebook, MyPal A730 Pocket PC, SDRW-0804P DVD rewriter and P505 PDA phone, making this year’s iF award ceremony the coming-out party of a new industrial design giant.
