Complete with IP67 water and dust protection ratings and released in 120mm and 140mm diameter options, Noctua has begun another push into the industrial cooling market with its new NF-F12 and NF-A14 24V fans. Paired with the NE-FD2 three-phase motor driver IC, these spinners are able to operate with supplies anywhere from 6V - 30V.
These new models operate at a maximum 24V speed of 2000rpm and 3000rpm, with Noctua CEO Roland Mossig urging users to test them with 12V connections, stating that these fans will run at much lower noise levels with this lower voltage. While operating at 1100rpm and 1700rpm respectively when attached to this lower connection, these fans can then be further controlled through PWM for even slower spinning speeds.
Said to be "available shortly" in a recent press release, Noctua expects to sell these two models at $34.90 per unit.
